RC Circuit (5F30.20)

Description:

An oscilloscope displays the voltage across a capacitor (or the resistor) in a RC circuit.

Procedure or Operation Notes:

The capacitors are electrolytic so be sure to plug them into the board with the correct polarity!

There are four capacitors that be used two at a time: 1x 4.7 mF, 2x 10mF, and 1x 47mF.

The resistor is a 1 kΩ potentiometer.

Move the knife switch to the upper position to charge the capacitor(s) through the resistor. Then move it to the lower position to discharge the capacitor(s) through the resistor. Position the leads across the component you wish to plot on the oscilloscope.
